The only exception is in the case of a late season wasps’ nest, and this may need added work to make things safe and secure for you. Please click the link for complete details.
We try and cope with wasps’ nests from the out side of the building whenever practical and we prefer to use long lances in the place of ladders, it’s much safer for all concerned.
Also, and more importantly do NOT attempt to close or block the nest entrance with mastic or mortar etc., you’ll drive the wasps into the house and when we arrive we need the entrance to be open so as to perform the treatment.
If you call us out to a nest where you have sealed the entrance we will charge you extra for the additional time it takes us to deal with the nest. On occasions when an entrance has been sealed or where you have attempted to deal with the nest yourself we reserve the right to charge you a call out fee without carrying out the treatment or to attempt the work with no guarantee given.
You will be provided with the soonest possible appointment, frequently same-day and our operative will kill the wasps’ nest by injecting a tiny measure of pesticide into the spot where the wasps are coming and going. The wasps will carry this wasp killer powder into the nest on their bodies and the whole nest will be spent within the hour.
Providing we can reach the wasps’ nest from the outside of the building you do not even have to wait in. Our specialist wasp control website has a prepayment option for you to buy by paypal or credit card, sorry we can accept credit cards over the internet or on-site but not over the telephone. Please call us to let us know you’ve prepaid and to tell us exactly where the nest is. Also please don’t forget to unlock any gates etc that we may need to pass through and move any dustbins etc which might be in the way.
If there are any issues which may be pertinent such as the presence of bats etc then please do not wait until we arrive on site to tell us about them, we will not carry out a treatment if it’s unsafe but we will ask you for a call-out fee.
Bed Bugs are prevalent in the Liverpool Pest Control area of operations.
There is a large amount of misunderstanding between bed bugs and dust mites. Every bed has little, invisible to the unaided eye dust mites, bed bugs are altogether a separate thing.
Bed bugs are easily noticed and look like an apple pip, particularly when completely developed and recently fed. They aren’t indications of poor hygiene, all they need to have is a blood feed every week or so – your blood!
You can transport bed bugs to your house just by staying in an infested hotel room or even by being seated next to the wrong person on the tube.
Once established in your property they will rapidly spread to any connected properties and in a extreme infestation it is feasible to sustain upwards of five hundred bites per night.
Whatever you do PLEASE don’t try and cope with the problem yourself, I guarantee that you will simply make things worse. If you suspect that you may well have got a bed bug problem then please telephone us for assistance before you do anything at all.
Before you undergo any actions at all, most certainly do not invest in a brand new bed or bedding since it will probably be infested by bed bugs on the first night.
Interior Ants are a major pest of the spring and summer months. Many people will appreciate the terror of flying ants emerging into their properties and are afraid of the the summer season for this reason.
However, we are currently considerably better prepared to contend with ants than we were even a couple of years ago. We can now with full confidence offer a 3 year warranty on ant work in almost all situations.
The process is perfectly safe for young children and household pets.
Why throw away cash and struggle for years with powders and potions which will not work when we can overcome the infestation and give you a guarantee, extendable in 3 year stages.
Flea infestations are on the increase again, even with people who frequently treat their cats and dogs.
This seems to be simply because populations of cat fleas and dog fleas in the Liverpool Pest Control area of operation are starting to be resistant to the active ingredients in the flea control products and solutions on sale to the general public.
We are finding that dog fleas and cat fleas are especially troublesome in areas with town foxes.
It is vital to address a flea infestation quickly, especially in the presence of toddlers as fleas are intermediate hosts of tapeworm.
